When you love unseemly conversation, you prepare a feast for demons and sell your soul for their fodder. 1

Virtues are formed by prayer. Prayer preserves temperance. Prayer suppresses anger. Prayer prevents emotions of pride and envy. Prayer draws into the soul the Holy Spirit, and raises man to Heaven. 2

Have mercy, O Lord, on my children, in my children. Call to mind your childhood. You who were a child. Let them that are like your childhood be saved by your grace. 3

Do nothing at all unless you begin with prayer. 4
